What shortcodes can I use for my website?
This reference guide covers the shortcodes available on your Dealer Inspire website, what each one does, and which code format to use based on your page template. Use this alongside How to add shortcode to your website for step-by-step instructions on adding shortcode to a page.

Important
Shortcode works on Default, Full Width, and DIPC page templates, which are available on both Site Builder and Classic sites. If you’re working on a Site Builder page template, do not use shortcode and use a widget instead (see reference guide below). Widgets cover most of the same functionality with styling already built in.
Not sure what type of site you have? Check the template on your homepage under page attributes on the right hand side. If it’s set to Site Builder, you have a Site Builder site. If not, you have a Classic site.

Phone numbers
If your phone numbers ever change, updating them in your settings automatically updates every page where you’ve used these shortcodes or widgets, no manual edits needed.

Use target city variables in page copy to support local SEO — for example, “Serving Toyota drivers in %%target_city_1%%.” The city names pull in automatically based on your configured target markets.

Hours & Date
Hours
Display your dealership’s hours for a specific department. Useful on a Service or Parts page where shoppers need to know when you’re open before heading in.

Dynamic hours
Display only the hours your dealership is currently open for a specific department. Shoppers checking your Service page before heading in will only see hours when the department is actually open — no “Closed” entries cluttering the experience.

Staff
Display staff members on any page, filtered by department. Use this to highlight your service team on a Service Center page, or your sales team on a Meet Our Team page — without showing your entire roster.

Note: Replace the department name between the quotation marks to pull in a specific department. Use “Staff” to pull in the entire roster. Department names must match exactly how they are set up in your Staff plugin.
Dealer Info Sidebar shortcode
Display a sidebar-style block showing the department name, phone number, and hours.

Fixed Ops coupons shortcodes
Pull service or parts coupons onto any page. Instead of manually updating coupon content every month, this shortcode pulls whatever coupons are currently active in your Fixed Ops plugin.

Display a specific DI Slide set on any page. Use this to embed a slider you’ve already built in DI Slides onto a landing page or campaign page — without rebuilding it from scratch.

Inventory shortcodes
Inventory shortcodes display filtered vehicle listings. Use these to build targeted landing pages — like a “New Ford Trucks” page that automatically shows only new Ford trucks from your inventory, without building a custom vehicle results page.

FAQ
Does my code format depend on my site type or my page template? Your code format follows your page template, not your site type. Default, Full Width, and DIPC page templates always use Classic shortcode, even on a Site Builder site. Site Builder page templates should only be used on Site Builder sites, in which case default to the Site Builder widgets instead.
What’s the difference between a Site Builder site and a Site Builder page template? These are two different things. Your site type — Site Builder or Classic — describes the overall setup of your website. Your page template is set per page and controls how that page is built.
How do I know which page template I’m on? Check the Template field in the Page Attributes panel on the right side of the page editor.
What if my shortcode isn’t rendering on the front end? Check that the shortcode is spelled correctly and that the page has been published after saving. If you used Classic shortcode on a Site Builder page template, that may be the cause. Use widgets instead. For further help, reach out to support@dealerinspire.com.
What if a shortcode I need isn’t working on my Site Builder page template? Use dedicated widgets on Site Builder page templates instead of shortcode. Check the widget library in Site Builder. If you have questions or can’t find a widget to use, reach out to support@dealerinspire.com for help finding the right component.
Can I copy and paste from this article? Yes. You can copy and paste any shortcodes or widget names directly. However, please note that many shortcodes contain placeholder text.
