How to get started with IMV Onboarding
In-Market Video (IMV) delivers your dealership’s video ads to real in-market car shoppers across connected TV, streaming platforms, social media, and digital audio. To ensure a smooth launch, your Performance Manager will guide you through onboarding — from goal setting to pixel setup — so your campaigns are built to perform.
In this article, you’ll learn how to prepare for IMV onboarding, what to expect during your kick-off call, and how to accelerate your setup process.
1 Read your welcome email & set up your kick-off call
After your agreement is finalized, your Performance Manager (PFM) will reach out to schedule your kick-off call (KOC). This email will:
- Introduce your dedicated IMV team
- Request any outstanding information not captured during the sales process
- Provide scheduling options for your onboarding meeting
What to prepare: Review any questions you have about your campaign goals, target audience, and creative preferences before the call.
2 Attend your kick-off call
Your kick-off call brings together key stakeholders to align on your campaign strategy. Attendees typically include:
- Your dealership’s designated contact(s)
- Your Client Partner
- Your Account Executive/DI PFM
- Your Account Executive/DI RSM (optional)
- IMV Manager (optional)
During the call, you’ll align on:
- Campaign goals and KPIs
We’ll discuss what success looks like for your dealership and identify the key performance indicators we’ll use to measure goal attainment. - Creative strategy
Your PFM will review creative options based on your Video Service Fee level and help you select the best approach for your brand. - IMV Pixel implementation
We’ll discuss whether you can implement our tracking pixel on your website and walk through the installation process. The pixel enables performance reporting on website actions after ad clicks and helps optimize your campaigns for better results. - Targeting and geographic coverage
We’ll confirm your preferred zip codes and targeting parameters to ensure your ads reach the right local shoppers.
3 Tips for faster onboarding
To avoid delays and get your campaign live sooner:
- Respond promptly to your welcome email and complete any requested forms
- Come to the kick-off call with clear campaign goals
- If you’re providing your own creative, send assets early
- Confirm IMV pixel installation with your website provider as soon as possible
- Share any co-op requirements upfront so we can build a compliant strategy
